Jacob and Ace Handyman Service rock!
We had our house releveld in April. We had other issues that needed fixing. I injured my back and had my 3rd back surgery the end of April. No one, and I mean no one, would give me an estimate etc on the other things we needed done. Tried several and they would never get back with us. THEN I FOUND ACE HANDYMAN SERVICE!!! OMG! They, and Jacob, are awesome! I called them, they gave us an estimate, and OMG they actually showed up to do the work!!!!
They, Jacob, is coming back on July 27th to finish other things we need done. We have a 110 year old house. Jacob created wood work to fill in where we needed it!

Unfortunately Incompetent
Though the guys were extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable, they are unfortunately either incompetent or unscrupulous. It's a shame, too, because a business like this is just what we need here in this area. And judging by their delightful phone manner, one would never have guessed that they could be so incompetent. I hired them to install pedestals on my washer and dryer, of which they did an EXCELLENT job, but their job was to also function test the units to make sure the water was ejecting and that the dryer was putting out heat. I could not be here to supervise due to my work schedule, so my mom sat in while they completed the job. They called me at work when the job was complete, I ASKED THEM IF THE UNITS WERE FUNCTIONAL, AND THEY REPLIED YES THEY WERE!!! They then took my payment and politely took their leave.
Days later, I go to run my first wash since the pedestals were installed, and what do you know. No water is coming out of the washer. It's a front-loader, so the soap is oozing out of the dispenser nozzle, NOT MIXING WITH THE WATER and just running down the glass door. I stopped it, tried to run a different cycle, and the water still would not eject.I was furious. FURIOUS!!! Mom is not technically proficient, so she could not recall if she saw water come out of the machine or not at the time they function tested. She thought she HEARD water, but could not verify that she saw it. Keep in mind it's the day before a holiday, and it was hard to get a hold of anyone at the business office. When I finally got a hold of the answering service, they told me somebody would call me back. And they did. But he informed me that because of the holiday weekend, it would be very hard to find a technician who could come out and take a look at this. He said he would call me back if he got a hold of anyone. He never could get a hold of anyone, and he informed me of such in a text.
The next day, I inspect the units myself. Had to do a lot of work to move those units away from the wall. Looked like everything was connected correctly, so I couldn't figure out what the problem was. As soon as I could see the faucets, I noticed that they weren't turned on. So I turned them on, but I had a lot of work to do to rebalance the feet on the unit itself. I was left wondering what I paid for if I basically had to restructure these units myself. The unopened faucets is a minor oversight, but it caused a major headache and it led to an unscrupulous business practice when I was informed that the units were functioning when indeed they were not! Thank God it was just the water faucets. And I'm not ungrateful for that, but the idea that I was lied to over the phone, and informed that all was working when indeed it was not is enough for me to downrate this business until someone from the company offers a commensurate reconciliation. I hope this is not standard business practice, and while the quality of their construction is good, they're misrepresentation is appalling! Please be sure to supervise all facets of your project if possible. I still haven't heard back from these guys...

It took the serviceman awhile longer to do the job, but we were not charge extra. The professional was professional, courteous and kind. He updated our charge to us as he was working so there were no surprises. We paid what we were expecting to pay which was a great relief as we are on a tight budget for our remodel. The serviceman's name was Matthew Pham and we would gladly use him again.
