Efficient, water heater install.

Nice guy but couldn't find the electrical problem

I should have hired an electrician. The Ace handyman was a great guy but spent an hour and couldn't find the electrical problem. Cost me $195. There was no power on the front porch, back porch, nor one outlet in the garage. The obvious answer should have been a GFI had tripped but all the GFIs were working. I couldn't find any GFI that was tripped either. After an hour the ACE guy said he could come back and check all the junction boxes in the attic but that could be a hunt, a few hours, and cost a lot. The next day I called an electrician and he fixed the problem in 10 minutes. There was a GFI outlet on the side of the house that was tripped and we didn't know it was there. The electrician also checked my breaker box and found a loose cable, burnt from arcing that would have caused problems in the future. Cost $79. I should have hired an electrician to find the electrical problem.
