Great Service!
We have had the pleasure of working with Kyle and his team at Ace Handyman of West Madison on various projects, and they consistently exceed expectations. They provide high-quality work for our clients in the West Madison area, and their professionalism and expertise are unmatched. Recently, we encountered a minor accounting issue on our end, and Kyle handled it with utmost professionalism and understanding. It's rare to find a team as reliable and skilled as Ace Handyman of West Madison. Highly recommend their services!

Quality work
We contacted Ace to install a storm door. The initial job was OK, but not quite right. Ace quickly sent out another Handyman to fix the door. Tyler S. did a great job, was pleasant to work with, and our door now closes tightly. We will be using Ace for future jobs because of their commitment to getting the job done right.

Small projects. Big help.
Recently reached out to Ace Handyman Services - Madison West for three relatively small projects. But being a senior with limited mobility, these projects were big to me. Jason arrived on time, assessed the situation and went straight to work. He was professional and easy to work with. Mission accomplished. Jason did a terrific job. Highly recommend Jason and the team at Ace Handyman - Madison West.

Very frustrating experience with this business: lack of transparency, lack of professionalism
I sent my project to the business on April 17th. I needed a walk-in closet door switched around to open out instead of in and tear out the carpet and replace it with vinyl plank flooring. I made a follow up call before the apt to make sure were on the same page. When the craftsman Tyler showed up, he said the work order did NOT include laying the floor, but he said he'd do it. He went to Menards to pick up the materials he needed. The leveler Tyler purchased, did not dry that day and even though I had Tyler complete a small bathroom project while we waited, we had to call it a day after six hours. Another craftsman, Robert, came back the next day and finished the job. I paid my bill in full before Robert left. When I requested a copy of the invoice, I saw I was billed for eight hours, which was correct. What I wanted to see was a breakdown of the $308 General Materials charge. Kyle (owner) replied to advise they did not provide receipts because I purchased the materials from the business, not Menards. He said all materials are marked up at the "industry standard rate as detailed in the invoice". Kyle also said according to their records, the craftsmen spent 10 hours on the project, but only billed me for eight. Kyle proceeded to give me their record of the work time and said he doesn't know what else the business can do for me on top of what "they've already done." I told Kyle their times were inaccurate. I have a camara system and provided him with the correct times. The employees arrived early and obviously left 10-15 minutes after they'd stopped working. As the video proves, I got billed and paid for the correct amount of labor. Kyle told me I wasn't billed for the fan they purchased to assist the leveler with drying. I told him Tyler took with him a half of a bucket with the leveler that I paid for. ===============RESPONSE TO OWNER FROM GOOGLE REVIEW================ When Robert was finished and pulled out his hand-held device, he told me the total work time was eight hours and 30 min. I asked Robert to take off 30 minutes because when Tyler went to the store to buy the faucet lines, HE bought the wrong ones and had to go back to get right ones. You mentioned 10 hours for the first time in your email response and since your software dropped the biggest part of the work order, I'm not surprised it messed up the times as well. Nothing Tyler did the first day was a favor to me. NOTHING. The project had two doors and the floor in it. It was YOUR BUSINESS that messed up the order. It was YOUR CRAFTSMAN that purchased the leveler he obviously never used before with all his "years of experience". I was very frustrated , but I was nothing but polite and professional with both of your employees. While the leveler was drying, it was either send Tyler home or have him do another small project that MADE MORE MONEY for the business. I could have easily gotten an Action plumber, they charge the same rate and they've done a lot of projects for me. I was hoping the leveler would dry if we waited another hour, but I wasn't going to have Tyler just sit there. May I remind you this whole thing started because of the lack of transparency by your business. All I wanted was to know what was included in the General Materials charge. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO ASK FOR THAT! It' something an ethical business does on their own. Even if you didn't want to show the mark up, the invoice should have listed all the items purchased and their Ace Handyman Services prices. A stand-up business would have acknowledged they screwed up. They would have accepted it and apologized, not typed up pages of excuses and justifications. It is painfully obvious to me that Ace Handyman Services is not one of those businesses. That's why I told you I was finished with the back and forth and that I would leave my review of what ended up being a very frustrating experience for me.

Wonderful experience!
I'd had bad experiences trying to line up a handyman to repair a hole in my drywall. They either didn't return calls or ghosted me when scheduling work. I was so pleased when I called Ace Handyman Services and spoke with a live person who was helpful and got back to me the same day with an estimate and scheduling options. Jason showed up on time, did a great job and cleaned up the area. I will definitely call them again with other projects around the house.

Great Service!
I needed my door to the garage fixed. Cory came on time and did such a great job, that the door is better than when it was originally installed! He adjusted my front door, which is also better. He asked if I needed anything else done. He adjusted one of my cabinet doors and he secured my steps from the house to the garage so they are much safer and sanded the rails for me! He was very polite, respectable and cleaned everything up. The people I spoke to in the office were also great to deal with. I highly recommend them! Will call again when I need something done. Thankyou so much!

Nice Guys, But Couldn't Do The Job
After being told by the office coordinator and the guys who came out to do the job that installing a 2 step hand rail in our cement floored garage, plus one other small indoor job would be possible and in under 4 hours, we were charged $500+ to have the guys get the supplies from Menards ($350) and nail one pre-cut post to the interior wall between mudroom and garage (an indoor drywalled wall). When they attempted to drill holes into the concrete floor, they failed telling us we must have a very high grade cement floor, and said they'd only charge one hour plus a service charge ($180). After $500+ charge, we have a piece of wood nailed to our garage wall, and the materials. Nothing else. **Another company had the holes drilled into our cement in 5 minutes**. When pushed to refund the time, the office coordinator said she couldn't do that. While the Craftsmen were quite nice, they weren't able to do the job. Most companies would refund the labor, but not Ace Handyman. **We won't do business with them again**

I am extremely pleased with the service I received from ace handyman! They replaced a lot of rotting wood near my roof as well as on a part of my deck. They were very thorough and did excellent work. I am planning to have them back to repair other areas of my home in the very near future. Great people to work with!
