I really appreciated Martin's willingness to check other items needing repair in my home, such as rollers on patio doors, same for garage door.

Totally unprofessional—very poor paint job on butcher block table legs. Did not use a drop cloth to protect the floor. He used a small cardboard box under one leg, and I gave him a large beach towel to put under the other legs. Did not tape off the parts of the table that were not being painted black. Cleaned his paintbrush coated with black paint by washing it in my white kitchen sink instead of the utility sink in the garage. Drilled multiple holes in my gate to put on new hinges, and then told me the hinges wouldn’t fit. Did not fill the drill holes, so now my gate has holes in it. The worst handyman experience ever.

Martin did a great job building BBQ's that needed to be built. He built more than expected!!

Martin came to fix our folding door. It was a very difficult task, but he was very clever and found a way to make it work.

The handyman removed built-in cabinets and touchup painting and patching. Did it in less amount of time than anticipated. Great communication all the way through scheduling and finish.

I have done little maintenance tasks most of my life. Now I am too old to get on a ladder and my eyes and hands are not functioning too well. I didn't quite know what to expect hiring somebody over the internet to do the things I used to do. Martin came to my house after I asked in a general way how to go about selecting the right lighting appliance and could he buy it and I reimburse, and how we would install it. We got down to the nitty griddy about orientation of the fixture and expressed safety concern about high ceilings, etc. Martin then asked me what else to do and I wasn't ready--I thought I needed to limit the variables on the job. I thought about another item and I have a few more in my back pocket. In short, I didn't realize I could (and maybe should) hire for a half day or a full day and then just fill the time up with tasks. A great way to hire someone. I look forward to actually getting started with the work -- this is a nice way for an older person to maintain their home.
