Jim was very professional and polite - he was even considerate of wearing booties indoors (rather than tracking in wet snow and muck). He replaced a kitchen faucet, dryer vent (ours was wide open), and installed window insulating kits on our patio doors (until my replacement doors come in). Furthermore, he suggested adding more insulation to the area the dryer vent is installed, but explained we need warmer weather (for caulking and paint). Jim did the work much faster than I expected and came in quite a bit under the estimate. Everything went very smoothly and I will use Ace again and request Jim.

Jim did a great job replacing our bathroom light fixture and installing a heavy medicine cabinet. Even brought our electric up to code. Would definitely use Ace and Jim in the future.

The Technician was very good but I feel he didn't do the complete job I paid for. The job I expected was installing a working garbage disposal. He did install the garbage disposal, but unbeknownst to me, the new disposal did not come with a power cord (this item sold separately). The tech took the item from the box and installed it and did not inform me that the unit would not work since there was no power cord. It was after the technician left that I realized the disposal was not working. (He obviously was unable to test the newly installed disposal.) I'm not sure who the blame goes to but I feel the Technician should have notified me about the power cord not being included and having to be purchased separately. The old unit has a power cord hard wired into the unit and since I haven't purchased one in many years, I didn't realize the cord had to be purchased separately.. I'm not sure why Insinkerator does not hard wire the power cord into the newer units and I plan to present that question to them. I guess it looks good on display for 1/2 horse disposal for $ 109.00 but in reality you have to spend another $ 14.00 for the power cord. I feel the technician could have avoided this situation by notifying me that the unit didn't come with a power cord prior to leaving the job site and leaving a customer with a non-working garbage disposal. To make the situation even worse, the technician made a trip to a hardware store AFTER installing the disposal and could have informed me about the cord and we could have purchased one and been able to do a complete installation, including testing the unit, prior to the end of the service call. However I will use Ace again in a future project.
