We received an estimate of work and though we know it’s an estimate we were not expecting the outcome to be DOUBLE the amount and time. This is now the second occurrence of the same situation. The handy men are kind but don’t seem quite knowledgeable otherwise it wouldn’t have taken so long. I.e 1 1/2 hours to do a small drywall patch.

The workman ship was poor quality. Over charged even when he went for shopping for more then hour he charged $150. Very unreasonable.

Mike was are handyman. The level of professionalism, craftsmanship that he brought to the job was fantastic! I will definitely be recommending them.

OK, let's be honest. Mike did a pretty good job, but when a truck pulls up to a job site, you expect to see it loaded with ladders, saws and tools ect.... being a handyman, what you might need for the job before you arrive on site, like ladders, saws, etc..... When Mike pulled up there was none of that. No ladders, no saws, and just not what I would have expected to see when, the job called for installing a window on the second level, which is why I hired this company, because my days of getting 20 feet in the air on a ladder are over. I supplied the ladder for him, along with an air compressor hose because his wasn't long enough, caulking, and my chop saw. As far as quality of work, I'm going to use the word knowledgeable instead. I don't know how many windows Mike had installed, but there are some basic things an installer should know. He got the window in and level from side to side and across the top and bottom, but when you put the level on up and down, it's not even close. I checked that after he had left, because I kept looking at it and it just didn't look right. Now I have to jimmy-rig it, to make the drywall and jams look even. When he trimmed the outside of the window, he used his finished gun, with 1 7/8" pins. I asked him if he was going to use 2" galvanized hot nails and he said that the pins would work just fine. So if you figure the trim at 3/4" and the backer board on the house 3/4" if not more, you are only getting 1/4" nailing into the frame of the house, which to me, isn't much. Also the trim boards are setting inside of the lap boards siding. Maybe a piece of lat strip could have been used to bring the trim out another 1/4 inch to give it a more finished look. I bought lat stripping just in case it was needed, but was never used. so again knowledge of the job. So look, Mike did the job, the window isn't going to fall out, but I'm being honest here and the most I can give is 3 out of 5 stars.
