Ace Handyman Services (AHS) ventured into a new area of service when I called and described a problem with our central vacuum cleaning system. I described the problem that a blockage had developed in the discharge pipe, causing a motor to fail on a new unit after only 1 & 1/2 years of service. The manufacturer honored the warranty and sent me a new motor, but unless the blockage was located and corrected, a replacement would certainly become another victim from the problem. AHS advised me that while they have not previously performed such work, that they would gladly have a member of their team see what they could find at a one hour minimum customary charge which I promptly agreed to. Chris Lamm was assigned to the job, and the next day arrived early. He promptly went to work and discovered that the discharge pipe became disconnected from the exterior vent cover and lodged itself in such a manner to increase the back pressure on the system. As a further precaution he also used a snake to check the piping for debris. Upon reassembly, much to our delight the flow was back to normal. Not only was Chris polite and professional, he had a charming personality. AHS should be proud to have a team that follows the cardinal rule of meeting the highest possible tradition of customer service. Thank you Chris for a job well done!

I have had the pleasure of Chris's help in the last two weeks. I had purchased a window air conditioner for m bedroom. The installation required moving fan existing air conditioner from the bedroom window to another room, assembling the new air conditioner and installing that into the bedroom window. He did this in less than 1 hour. He checked that both air conditioners were in working condition. He is experienced, understands technology, and cleans up after his work. He also is very friendly and explains what he is doing and why. He is the best 'handyman' that I have ever had. Thank you!

The handyman was prompt, attentive and knowledgeable in replacing our plastic, spiral reinforced dryer vent with metal. It was about 15’ long and should never have been installed that way. The dryer vent is above a suspended ceiling with a convoluted route that he handled with ease.

Although I recognize delays in service do occur. I would have given a five star rating but the arrival of the service man was an hour later than originally scheduled. The delay was not Matt's cause since he was not originally assigned to do the service. Matt was professional and did a fine job. He did connect the gas line, gave advice and assistance on a plumbing issue an installed smoke detector batteries. I would give Matt a 5 star rating and recommend him for future work.

A very positive experience so far....Lauren provided general information about the handyman services and scheduled me on the day and time that I requested. My husband and I met Kathy and Charles at our recently purchased home for the initial consultation. They were attentive and professional as we reviewed a multitude of repair and maintenance issues needing to be addressed. They offered excellent observations, suggestions, and solutions that demonstrated their knowledge and skill in managing minor details as well as major issues. We were very impressed with our meeting and we look forward to working with this very capable "Handyman" service.
