ACE ace'd the installation of a Barn Door
The project was the installation of an owner-supplied hanging interior barn door in a Tuscan-style residential home. ACE arranged its team promptly, Phil and Doug arrived on-time, quickly verified alignment of the pre-installed roller beam, drilled and attached the rollers to the door, provided advice on open/close and bumpers, and installed the door. ACE met all our expectations and are highly recommended as the go-to professional handyman service team.

Doug went above and beyond our expectations! He repaired everything we asked him too.He was kind, friendly and very good at His job fixing everything. We even found more for him to do in getting our attic door opened, so we could empty it before moving, I will recommend your company to everyone!

end result good, but getting there....
I originally called ace hardware and let them know that i would need a front door handle and keypad installed ,and then an additional deadbolt added to the door up high so children cant reach it. The Tech arrived early after calling to confirm that it was fine to do so, which was great! But he arrived without any tools to drill the hole in the door for the additional deadbolt. So he proceeded to install the other items while waiting for someone else to come with the other required tools. When it was all said and done hours later. They had installed the deadbolt and handle like normal on the bottom, and the keypad up high where kids cant reach it. All in all it is fine. my tenant likes it because the keypad auto locks up top, and it keeps her kids safe, but it is just not the way to normally do it. normally the keypad is right above the handle with an extra regular deadbolt up high. Its fine because i can just switch them later. But there is a lack of communication. I was very specific with the person that i called and spoke to when i scheduled about what i needed/wanted. And i don't like to micromanage people, but in this instance. I should have micromanaged the job from start to finish. Should have just called a locksmith.

Disappointed
My faucet in the front yard had a small leak and the back one tended to spray water all over when I used the hose and it was under pressure. Ace Handyman was recommended to me so I gave them a call. They did tell me that they didn't have any plumbers on staff but if they couldn't fix the problem and I needed a plumber they would let me know. Note: if you're having a plumbing issue - call a plumber. My handyman came out, was on time and seemed to know what he needed to fix it. He went to Lowes, got the parts and went to work. It took him about 30-40 minutes and we had new faucets or new faucet insides installed. We paid him and he left. I haven't actually needed to use my outside faucets until the other day when I went out to water and feed the plants in my front yard. Unfortunately, the water comes out of the side of the faucet, therefore when you attach the hose none of the water actually enters the hose. He must have known that when he tested it but never said anything. The faucet in the back comes out sideways as well but does at least actually come out of the faucet. I wish I could attach photos. My bad for not testing it in front of him while he was here. I am too trusting but I'm learning that, especially in Vegas, you have to check everyone's work. My biggest disappointment was that he just wasn't honest with me and that he just didn't tell me that he couldn't fix it and that I needed a plumber. $277 dollars and it's worse than it was before he came.
