Tony and Liz are the best people I'v dealt with for car repairs. The repairs they did on my truck were done expertly and for a price that was definitely very fair. I will use their shop for future repairs and recommend them to anyone I know in need of auto service. I hope they keep this shop and stay here for a long time. In a word: TREMENDOUS! Tony and his team are absolutely top notch. Expert and thorough evaluation of needed service, conscientious and timely repairs, thoughtful explanations of service required and cost estimate, and very helpful, people-friendly manners. Handy location too! And, if time is spent by a customer on site, the clean and tidy waiting room has free wifi, cold water, nice restrooms, and smoke-free environment. Cottman of Columbia does a FANTASTIC JOB; now our first stop for any automotive needs.

Went for a diagnosis because my transmission was having problems. Decided to have my transmission rebuilt and got a tune up as well. 2 year warranty. Torque converter had a problem shortly after it left the shop. Brought it back and it was replaced under warranty no questions asked. Tony threw in free ball joints. My check engine light came back on when I left the second time. Took it back. Replaced CO2 sensor free of charge. When I was getting ready to leave, I found out that I had a bad brake line. They replaced it free of charge as well. Tony and Liz have been nothing but fantastic. Will be returning for future repairs!!! Highly Recommended!

My sister and brother in-law referred me to Cottman Transmission at first I was skeptical because the price they quote me after looking at my vehicle was wayyyy out of my price range, and I was not going to go through with the repairs, but after I spoke with Tina she was able to give a price I was able to afford and payment option that suited my needs. So I was very please with the level of customer service and the over all experience.

I took my car in because I thought I needed new brakes. After checking it out, free of charge, they told me I can wait a few months before replacing them. They also checked out my daughter's car. I had received a quote from another shop and Tony was able to offer another option to repair it that was half the price. They truly have the customer's best interest in mind. Their customer service is top notch - they greeted me by name and even sent me a hand written thank you note a few days after repairing the car. Cottman's is the only place I'll take our cars from now on.

I moved to Columbia in 2007 and wish I discovered Tony and Liz then! The diagnosis for my car was spot on and not what 3 other mechanics gave to me. Tony took the time to fix the problem, rather than alleviating the symptoms. In addition, he recommended other needed services and did his best to help me out with the finances. Tony and Liz did a very fine job on my 1995 Bronco. The work was done very professionally. I had work done at another transmission shop last year and had multiple problem and poor workmanship. Tony fixed all that and with a better warranty. Cottman is the only transmission service shop I will ever use for any of my vehicles. He is the best in Columbia. Thanks for the great job.
