We contacted Four Seasons early 2013 about the possibility of making our covered deck more livable. Mark came along and explained how the deck could be entirely covered with glass and aluminum, and the benefits of using a special treated glass which would permit sunshine in and keeping most of the UV out. We considered the proposal he provided and later told him that it was not quite right. Instead we suggested he come up with a proposal to cover the lower deck outside the living room.
He proposed removing the sliding door from the living room as well as the side window and most of the wall so that it would provide a free flow from the living room to the new sunroom. We were a bit skeptical at first but after much thought decided to proceed. The entire process which followed including the contract, obtaining drawings from architect, permits from the municipal authority were executed in an entirely professional manner. The work itself was done from start to finish methodically and at the end of each day the premises was left tidy. All the inspections came and went without any hitch including the final inspection. The subcontractors for drywall and electricity were reliable and efficient. We
were entirely satisfied and transformed by the completed sunroom that before the end of 2013 we called Four Seasons to enquire about working on the upstairs deck. Gary Tiemstra provided us with many useful solutions to the problems which we had previously encountered such as the vent outside the kitchen window which had been an obstacle previously to extending the glass roof. Gary suggested extending the deck outwards 3 feet and lengthwise 5 feet to make the area less congested. We came up with other ideas to make the area outside the sunroom more livable. Again the process which followed went smoothly from start to finish. The only cause for delay was the frequent rainy days
which slowed things down a little but everything fell into place at the end of the day. The sunrooms are delightful and sunny (not broiling like outside) provide us enjoyment of the garden in all kinds of weather. Our friends are ecstatic!
