Mike and Kevin were prompt in responding to my initial call as well as with providing suggestions getting materials and scheduling the installation of our new shower enclosure. Jason, who was the handyman for the job was on time, courteous and very personable and did great work in a short amount of time. It’s nice to know there are still some honest, hardworking businesses so close to home!

I recently hired Ace Handyman Services Northern McHenry Western Lake Counties to refresh our primary bathroom and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! They replaced the wall tile, flooring, and vanity, and gave the room fresh coat of paint. From the start, the team was professional, friendly, listened to our preferences and asked questions to ensure we were on the same page. They said it would be no problem to reuse the existing shower door and pan instead of consigning them to a landfill. And the owner, Mike, even called the manufacturer of the flooring with questions because it is a very uncommon material with very specific installation requirements. He also was on hand the day the flooring was installed to make sure the job was done to the manufacturer’s specs. The craftsmen were punctual and worked diligently, through the day and tidied up at day’s end. When a question came up, we would discuss the options to reach the best decision. Jason, the lead, kept things on track and made sure they were done properly. Ryan, the painter, did a very nice, crisp job. Jimmy was their flooring specialist; he quickly got the hang of the product’s installation quirks and ended up doing a great job. I’m thrilled with how everything turned out—it feels like a completely new space. The entire process was smooth, they met their stated timeline, and the team’s expertise really shone through. Jimmy did an outstanding job. He hung large and heavy pictures in two rooms. The job was perfectly done with both care and craftsmanship. Jimmy replaced a smoke detector and an outdoor fixture that were located in difficult positions. This was the second time Jimmy was at my residence and I am highly pleased with his work. I give home my highest recommendation.

My first time using Ace Handyman Services, Jimmy D came out to fix a kitchen cabinet that was pulling away from the wall. He was friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job with the repair. Kevin in the office was extremely helpful and pleasant while coordinating scheduling the work. I will be calling them again!
