We had a TV mounted and electric work done to install new outlets for the TV. The over email & phone estimate process was thorough and all the reps I spoke with were kind, detailed, and helpful. Our handyman Jose was methodical. He gave me options for how to accomplish the job along with the pros and cons of each approach. Jose took his time and completed a job well done in accordance with the estimate.

I needed to have some bathroom modifications for accessibility and safety following orthopedic surgery and a stay at an inpatient rehab center. I wanted the glass shower doors removed, a permanent shower curtain rod installed, and I needed a couple of grab bars installed as well. When I first scheduled, I guessed at my discharge date, but when I was discharged a few days earlier than anticipated, Martha was able to move my appointment to the day after I got home. This work was done a couple of months ago, and I'm blanking on the handyman's name (sorry), but he was prompt and worked efficiently and neatly. He even hung the shower curtain up for me as I was not able to stand and balance well enough to manage it myself. Everything looks great, and my tub/shower are so much safer and easier for me to use. A very satisfying experience. I would definitely call upon them again.

Andre did a wonderful job repairing all the problems we had around the house. When he was unable to locate a type of washer to fix a leaky bathtub faucet, he was able to create one himself using his power drill. Before he arrived, we also discovered we needed a new kitchen faucet, and he was able to advise us on the best brand to buy. All in all, a satisfying experience, and we'll be happy to hire him again should the need arise.

I would say, it depends on who you have coming to the house. The previous time I used this company the guy was amazing, quick and very efficient. This time around, it was someone new. He seemed to have a poor attitude, he was not very efficient with his time, and spend a lot of it looking things up on his phone. I don't feel like I have to pay for that extra time because he didn't know what to do. What was supposed to take only 3 hours took 5, because he was running late, he didn't have time to clean up after himself or patch the small hole in the wall where he replaced the thermostat. Also, he was a little unprofessional. When he was leaving my house, acting like he was getting sick and gagging in front of me at the door. I didn't appreciate that and it made me feel uncomfortable. If he was under the weather, the appointment should have been given to someone else. I also had to sterilize my bathroom, because he was in there for 10 minutes. I would go through this company again, but make sure I had a different handyman come out to the house.

Steve fixed a leaking sink problem which involved multiple issues. This is an old house with a drainage design that was particularly challenging to work around. Excellent service at a reasonable rate. I am a repeat customer and will definitely use them again.

Friendly and helpful

This is the third time I’ve used Handyman Matters and once again I am very pleased with the experience. Andre is professional and friendly—very easy to work with. He did an excellent job and will call on Handyman and Andre again when we need work done on our house.
