Handyman Matters is our go-to company for puzzling and overwhelming house problems. Scott is terrific and we suspect he can fix almost anything. He's been so helpful with shower and drain problems Susan is a wonderful help in the phone, making appointments quickly and keeping us updated. Just the best! Doug and Margy

Efficient, courteous, intelligent
I needed a new toilet installed and an electric outlet replaced. When he arrived at my house Mark had already picked up the toilet from The Home Depot. The toilet was installed and the outlet replaced in an hour. Mark is intelligent, efficient and pleasant to work with. I am 81 years old with no family or friends who can help with upkeep around the house, so Handyman Matters is a Godsend for me, and - even better -I found the prices to be reasonable.I will be calling again!

Great Service!
Mark arrived on time and ready to go with my list of items. He fixed some problems from another company that had installed my previous faucets --Love the new ones and appreciated the attention to detail. I have had this company do a lot of work in my home and the quality has been wonderful! I have and will continue to refer them.

overly expensive
We needed a window replaced in the kitchen after it was damaged in the last storm.the repairman thought we only wanted the glass replaced i informed him that the frame was damaged and needed to be replaced with a new window. after removing the old window i was told he was going to purchase the new window which we had decided to be aluminum.this trip took 40 minutes.i received no paper work on the new window as to cost or where it was purchased or warranty. after it was installed again i was informed that he needed to go get the trim and sealant for the new window.again another trip of 40 min .i live 2.5 miles from Home Depot on Broadway. after he had finished he informed me he had broken his credit card reader and the office would email me my invoice. ok, i noticed after he had left that in lieu of repairing the inside drywall he had placed wood trim around the window.not what i would have liked as it doesn't match any other window.also the trim around the outside of the window was wood, not the fiberboard junk thats on it now. i have called the office and asked for an invoice of what was done. i was sent this: labor $375 service trip charge $30 materials and truck supplies $253.80. so the window cost what? and is from where? any paper work or warranty?? service trip charge ? truck supplies are what ?? i was told that before work was started he would give me an estimate.never happened. not the way to run a business.I'LL not recommend or give them my business.

Mr. Nelson, we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication and for your dissatisfaction in our company. However, I am a bit disappointed and confused why you wouldn't have mentioned anything to us when you called the office twice after the job was completed. We would have been more than happy to resolve any issues you have. Also, when Mark, our craftsman was at your site, he did go over everything with you before he did any of the repairs. After you agreed, he proceeded and completed your repairs. You told the office at your initial call that you had broken glass and damaged window trim from a previous storm. Not the entire window. That is what we dispatched to him. He did not use fiberboard junk, he actually used non-deteriorating hardiboard concrete based trim. As for your invoice, you had asked for the total to stay at the $300 mark which we said could happen when we thought it was a glass and trim replacement. When you agreed on a new entire window, it was impossible to stay at that amount. It doubled the work involved, which was discussed with you prior to starting the job. Your exact invoice is attached. Craftsman Hourly Labor Remove and replace window that was broken with new window unit. White aluminum window. New exterior trim and interior trim and footprint repair. $375.25 Service Trip Charge $30.00 Materials - 36x48 white aluminum horizontal sliding window. Foam sealant, window sealant. Exterior and interior trim. Misc truck supplies. $253.80 BALANCE DUE $659.05 Mark purchased the window from Home Depot just as you discussed with him. Home Depot does not offer a warranty on stock windows. We do warranty our install for one year. When the job was completed and at the time of invoicing, Mark verified the completed job with you and you said "everything looks great". Again, if there was any after thought and you decided you didn't like something, a phone call to the office would have resolved that issue.
