I had set the appointment a few weeks in advance. I gave them the list of jobs that needed to be done. They called the day before they were supposed to come out and said 3 of the 4 jobs that I needed done wouldn't be able to be done because it was too cold outside. They never mentioned that the jobs were weather dependent when I set the appointment. I live in Michigan and the appointment was for November 28th, when typically it's cold out. They recommended that I call them back in the spring. Now I have an outside faucet that will be leaking all winter, doors without weatherstripping and a garage door that needs the bottom weatherstripping replaced to keep critters out of my garage all winter. Just very disappointed that no one mentioned that these jobs were weather dependent. So I'm not able to comment on their work. Still not sure whether I will call them in the spring.

The guy who you sent did a good job, replacement of faucet.I was totally unaware of your policy of charging $50 for a $5 part. I find this price as gouging your customer.Time it took to fo his work was under 2hours, prophets not a dirty word but price gouging in my book is illegal you should notify the customer of these details in writing before you attempt to get further bonus out of the minimal work that was done. As a disabled veteran on a fixed income you kind of blew it,,price wise. Effective communication is essential if you want to stay in business,trust me you don't want this to end up in a courtroom someday... Or on the news, or BBB, you stating this after the fact is too late. I hope in the future you're company learns how to communicate more effectively,, & No, I would not recommend you to friends. Ace hardware has been around for a long time since I can remember back in the '60s. Again you FAILED in effective communication,about the costs,,in the future should be more open to all your customers before you send somebody out...I could have bought those parts myself and saved $50. The people that you charge are the people who are the reason you are in business today,they fought for the freedoms that people take for granted, remember freedoms aren't free,, we fought for them,and did not ask for anything in return. We are injured for the rest of our lives on fixed incomes. If there is a next time with your company , I'm looking forward to have effectively communication about any outside costs,, that may occur. She completed 12 projects in 4 hours, offering to stay over for a few minutes to complete the last one. She asked great questions and confirmed my satisfaction with each job.
