Let us first start off by apologizing that you felt you may have paid too much for this service compared to five years ago pricing. We are also frustrated by the cost of things in the marketplace today especially when it comes to running a professional, licensed, and insured legitimate company. We understand that you have done a lot of work yourselves over the years so when hiring a professional company, the cost difference can be puzzling compared to doing it yourself. Thank you for acknowledging that our Craftsman did a great job. Not only did he do what was asked to be done but he finished in less time than the estimated time originally given to you over the phone. Upon the arrival of our Craftsman, he immediately reviewed the job with you before he started and discovered that the amount of sheetrock you advised would be needed wound up being 1.5 boards short. That is not a problem, and we understand homeowners can be off a little on the scope of work they described. This is why we review the job with the customer before we start so everything is transparent before we do anything and to compare to the estimate that was given over the phone. Our hourly rates and service fees were all specified on the initial call and that did not change. Your request was to hang the sheetrock, tape, and mud as much as we could in 6 hours. The Craftsman completed the job in under six hours including getting the materials and extra board. You paid the labor time for the lesser amount. Our Craftsman are paid well and better than the marketplace. That is why they stay with our company because we take care of them and because they are appreciated for their skills set and want to work for a professional company that cares about quality and takes care of the customer. The estimate you requested over the phone and approved to move forward was for $805.00. Your final amount including the extra 1.5 boards of sheetrock, accessories, and labor came to a total of $861.75. This was $56.75 over the original quote but less than the estimate when we reviewed the job on site and found additional work and materials that were needed. Once again, we are frustrated like you with market costs today, but we have very competitive pricing and our value for our great service and quality allows us to take care of our customers and be a legitimate business.
